The TaxRock API now comes in two configurations, direct access and delegate access. See the Overview to pick one.
  • Direct access. A credential issued for one TaxRock organization reads that organization’s data. Get an access token with the client credentials grant at Get a token, then call https://api.taxrock.com (sandbox: https://api-demo.taxrock.com). Start with the direct access Quickstart.
  • Endpoints. Direct access offers List client accounts, List taxpayers, a taxpayer’s Wage & Income, return and account transcript lists, and the three transcript fetches. They have the same paths and responses as on delegate access.
  • Reorganized docs. Getting started has a Quickstart and an Authentication page for each configuration, and the API reference has a section for each. Pages specific to delegate access moved under /delegate-access/. Old URLs redirect to their new pages.
  • No change for delegate access. Its endpoints, scopes and responses are unchanged.
